How kanuck.studio handles your information.
Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it.
For race and other events you may also be asked for your bib number, an optional timing-chip id, and the event organizer's signup questions (for example which distance you rode, or your expected pace). Those answers go only to that event's organizer and photographers, to match and deliver your photos.
To match you to the photos you appear in, email you when they're ready, and let you view, download and — where the photographer offers it — buy them. Nothing else. We never sell your data or show ads. We use basic analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used in aggregate.
On race events you can optionally upload a GPS ride file (GPX / TCX / FIT). If you do, it is used for exactly one thing: matching photos to where you were on course when the shutter fired. The file is clipped to the official event window before anything is stored — the parts of your ride before and after the event (like the route to your home) are discarded and never saved. Uploading is entirely optional, you can replace the file at any time, and deleting your data removes it.
If you buy hi-res photos, payment is handled by Stripe — card details never touch our servers. We keep the order record so your purchases stay unlocked.
Albums may be set to auto-delete after a period. Verification codes expire in 15 minutes. Ride files and signup answers live only as long as your membership in that event — deleting your data removes them immediately.
